Oreo Truffles

I made these oreo truffles for my roommate, Lydia's birthday party. They were definitely a huge hit, and the best part is, they were so easy to make.

I bought some oreos.

Put them in a blender and blended them until they turned to dust:

Then mixed the cookie crumbs with 4 oz of cream cheese and formed them into little balls:

Then I melted some chocolate chips (but you could use any kind of chocolate) and dipped the oreo balls in it.

I put them in the fridge so the chocolate would set and,

Voila! Oreo truffles.

Thumbs up.

Avocado Breakfast

As we all know, avocados are the greatest thing in the whole world, so why not have one for breakfast?

We just cut both sides off of the avocado and then removed the seed and cracked an egg into the middle like so:

Then we added some salt and pepper and flipped them over:

They may not have won any beauty awards, they sure were delicious to eat!

Valentine's Day

Kami and I started the day off right with a delicious breakfast made with lots of love.

After that, things got a little less perfect because I had to take two tests and study for a third one I am taking tomorrow. But amidst all of the studying and test taking, I managed to have a great dinner.

Oh wait, it was dessert. Either way, it was delicious.

Hamburgers?

I celebrated my brother's birthday this weekend. It just so happens that his favorite treat ever is a cupcake made to look like a hamburger. Kami came to help me make them because they are quite the process.

First we made a bunch of cupcakes:

Then we made no bake cookies and died coconut green:

We also made red and yellow frosting (for ketchup and mustard) and then assembled them like so:

Wedding? Mission Reunion? Same Thing.

Hermana De La Cruz and I about a year ago as mission companions (and twins in this picture?):

Today at her wedding:

Hermana Quintana now, with her new companion:

Hna. Adams and I with the bride:

Hna. Adams, Lee and I with the happy couple at the reception:

Sis. Evans and her tablet (oh how she loves it):

Here's where things turned into a mission reunion:

You really shouldn't leave a bouquet unattended.

At last after a year and a half of seeing each other every day, we finally get to dance:

Long Live All the Magic

I feel like this video speaks for itself. When I say "long live all the magic" I am talking about the magic of my childhood - largely supplied by JK Rowling.

Body Rock

If you were wondering what the secret to a rockin' body is, Lisa-Marie can definitely tell you. We (Cambrie, Kami, Mark, Katie, and I) have been diligently attempting the 30 day Body Rock challenge.

The 30 day challenge is a series of 7-12 minute work outs that you can do at home without any equipment. Try it! http://www.bodyrock.tv/

THIS is the place.

I finally got the chance to see the Mormon Battalion Monument in Salt Lake. The statues were beautiful and represented those faithful men and women well.

This part honors the women who were left behind during the march. It includes a quote from one woman saying she would "rather be a soldier's widow than a coward's wife." So much faith.

This was probably my favorite statue. I am sure that the time spent on their knees was what gave them the strength to accomplish the task at hand.

A tearful goodbye.

Once a Sister, Always a Sister

Who knew that by being called to serve a mission I was being inducted into a sisterhood? Well, apparently I was because here we are still besties after the mission.

My second mission companion is getting married next week, so we all headed up to celebrate at her bridal shower.

So much love.
