Mark and I took some pre-wedding photos together at the Salt Lake Capital. Here is a little sampling of them. Thanks to EK Studios for doing such a great job!

The Engagement

After a lovely evening of strolling the monuments, Mark asked me to marry him at the Jefferson Memorial right by the tidal basin. Obviously I said yes. He put the ring on my finger (as best as he could because the jeweler made it a whole size too small). 

We had it resized the next day and now it fits like a charm.

Cow Appreciation Day

Emily and I really wanted to get out there and show all the cow's our appreciation for them. We decided the best way to do that would be to dress up like cows and eat dinner at Chick-fil-A. Here we are sporting our cow outfits and Chick-fil-A grub:

Bonus: they liked our costumes so much our food was free!

Fish-y-cures and Tapas

Fish-y-cures? You are probably wondering if that is some sort of cure that involves eating only fish for some random health benefit. Not true. It is rather a combination of the word "fish" and "pedicure." Very clever. But again, why? Could it be that a fish-y-cure involves little fish eating dead skin off of your feet as part of a pedicure? Bingo. 

Here and my cousin Gracie and I about to experience the fishy part of our pedicure. We both seem a little skeptical at this point.

After the Fish-y-cures we headed to Don Churro's for some tapas and churros. They were delicious!

Especially the churros and chocolate. Almost as good as in Spain!

4th of July

We started off the morning with a patriotic 5k. Here we are post-race:

My cousin Gracie was in town so we dressed up in our most patriotic apparel and headed into the city to see the fireworks.

They were pretty epic.

And so was my outfit.

DC Lately

Since my return to the US of A I have made several visits to the beautiful city of Washington DC with various people that came to visit.

A few weeks ago the Brenchleys came to DC and I took them around to see the different monuments. It was so fun to see them!

Now one of the best things about DC is Tangy Sweet. Best frozen yogurt ever.

The other best thing is visiting the Jefferson Monument at night. Best thing ever.
